INES Personnel Prepared for the Future

Alain Caracatzanis (Storengy Germany GmbH) and Michael Schmöltzer (Uniper Energy Storage GmbH) are joining the Board of the Initiative Erdgasspeicher (INES). Sebastian Bleschke will continue to manage INES affairs on his own.

Alain Caracatzanis and Michael Schmöltzer will be active as Board Members of the Initiative Erdgasspeicher (INES) from 1 July 2017. Both were elected on 5 April 2017 in an ordinary general meeting. "Alain Caracatzanis and Michael Schmöltzer bring a European perspective to the association which will further sharpen our focus on international issues and policies. We are therefore very much looking forward to working together," explains Bernd Protze, Director of the INES Board.

Caracatzanis and Schmöltzer succeed Claus Obholzer and Holger Staisch, who retire from the Board for corporate reasons. "With Mr. Obholzer and Mr. Staisch, we lost two board members who successfully organized the association's activities with great experience and forward-looking decisions," Protze regrets.

There are also changes within the management. From July 1, 2017, Sebastian Bleschke will continue to handle the affairs of INES on his own responsibility. Dr. Andreas Kost (Storengy Germany GmbH) and Dr. Ulrich Duda (Uniper Energy Storage GmbH) are withdrawing from the INES management as planned.

INES thanks the two founding Chief Executives for their extraordinary commitment. "I am very pleased that within a short time we were able to build up a representation for German gas storage operators, which is appreciated and consulted by politicians and businesses alike. Significant steps were made not least because of the pioneering role of the two Chief Executives", explains Peter Schmidt, Member of the INES Board.
